The Spookiest of Weddings
2020 has been quite the year and although we now must share our wedding with our friends and family online, that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun with it! We are happy to invite you to our Halloween Virtual Wedding full of tricks, treats, and eternal love. We celebrate Halloween every year and a Halloween spent with Sam and Emily is a Halloween spent in high spirits so we ask that you share in the festivities! Come in your favorite costume or add a little decor, we want to share Halloween with everyone we love!

We met at Lyon College during our Freshman year when we attended the same chemistry class. We dated for a few months but broke up when Emily transferred to UCA. That breakup didn't last long and we were back together by October of Sophomore Year.

We have been inseparable ever since and after six years we still spend every October the same way we did in 2014. Over good food cooked together and watching some movie that Sam never saw as a kid while Emily gushes about it being a classic.

Every year we make a trip to Hermann, Mo to visit a small bed and breakfast. Our relationship has grown a lot thanks to these trips: the first one helped us learn how to solve problems together when we took a 3 hour detour to Illinois by mistake. The last trip we took was to plan our wedding. Hermann is such a special place to us that we even got engaged there.

Sam proposed in March of 2018 by asking Emily "What's that over there?" so she would look away while he got down to purpose. Emily was so excited and happy that she didn't really say yes but just screamed joyfully.

The Wedding

The Day of the Wedding
How to Take Part
With the power of modern technology, we can share our big day with all of you! We will begin streaming the ceremony at 2:50 pm and the ceremony will begin at 3 pm. Feel free to use the Zoom Chat to talk to other guests but we ask that you stay on mute during the ceremony. We feel blessed to be able to share our wedding without putting those we love at risk and we are thankful for your understanding and kindness as we begin our life together. The Zoom Meeting link will be shared October 29th here on our wedding website.
